Barden Bridge Wildlife Project

My yearly 3 day project on Wildlife, though specificaly photographing birds, in the area around Barden Bridge in The Yorkshire Dales National Park. In terms of the amount of species seen, heard and sometimes photographed, this year beats the previous five comfortably. 14000 photos to look through before I can say 70ish species exactly. My technique for photographing Sand Martins in flight Has worked for the first time. A secret is a secret though I picked up the idea whilst reading ' Eye of the storm' by Jack Higgins. Also a big thankyou to my boss (Bryan Hockey) for the three days off work. Unlike previous years in early May, the (excellent) weather proved the key for my images and I chose the location for my car carefully - next to the Ice Cream Van. Not a pub in sight - dreadful, though I will enjoy looking at my images tomorrow. If you read this before tomorrow you may, or may not guess where I am going right now. Enjoy... Mark Hockey 9/5/08
