Ilkley Moor attracts climbers for its gtitstone climbing. Ilkley Quarry, The Cow and Calf Rocks and the gritstone edge in Rocky Valley provides a huge variety of climbs of all grades. I have also climbed extensively in The Lake District and in Scotland. As with many of my wild days out on the hill, I am deeply indebted to my climbing partners who have supported me in desperate situations and shared not a few laughs during the past decade.
